I`m Dave and I live in North Cornwall having retired after 25 years as a firefighter in West Midlands. I learned to weld in a Black Country factory many years ago using an old stick welder which may have been the first one ever used. I remember the Iron-clad fused Isolator glowing red after half an hours use and thinking it`s time for a break and to change the six inch nail used for a fuse. It was handy to light your fag by though. Since I need beer money though (and lots of it), I have started making and selling wrought Iron gates and railings for a hobby/job and doing OK.
