Hello to one and all.
I've just looked and see that I've been a member since February last year so perhaps it's time I introduced myself - two posts in that time, and the second of those was earlier this p.m., so not up to the post per day rates of woz and some of you others.
I served an apprenticeship in general engineering (with an electrical / electronic bias) many moons ago - I'm now "climbing the right-hand side of the bathtub curve" and, apart from a brief spell working offshore in the oil & gas industry, have worked in microelectronics ever since.
I'm not really actively involved in engineering anymore having crossed over to technical procurement, but still try to "keep my hand in" whenever possible.
I'm currently attending a C&G welding course one evening a week at the local tech. and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Prime reason for wanting to acquire welding skills is maintenance and modification of a tractor (Zetor 4911) and a mini-digger (Pel-Job EB1.4) - anybody have any experience of them?
I enjoy the forum very much and have found it both informative and entertaining. Hopefully, now that I've "broken the ice", I'll up the post rate.
Thanks to all contributors, the moderators and Malcolm for making the forum what it is. If I can contribute in any way I'll do my best.
