Hi!!

Hi, ive just joined as im rather new to welding and was doing a bit of research when i can across the website. I know how handy forums can be and this looks like a great one so hoping you'll be able to help me when i get stuck! I currently own 3 vauxhalls and whilest i can do most of the mechanics myself, welding is a bit of a stumbling block, which is a pain as they do rust ever so well!! So the plan is to learn! Ive had a bit of a go with some scrap metal i had lying about and a mates welder, just need a bit more practice and then got to pluck up the courage to attack one of the cars!!
So any advice would be much appreciated!

So what vauxhalls do you have?

Ive got a Nova 1.3sr, completely standard apart from the irmscher injection kit im fitting to it at the moment, a mk2 cav cd, again standard, and my toy is a carlton gsi 12v.

Both the nova and carlton need a fair amount of welding and as i dont like paying for work i should be able to do myself, thought it was about time i learnt!
