Hi Guys.
Just wanted to say a hello and see if there are any guys into scooters on the forum. There's so much knowledge here that (in false confidence?!?) I'm buying my first MIG welder at the weekend
to repair a vespa I bought on the cheap. My old man wasn't happy when I bought it home so I'd better get learning fast!

Looks like a good project. Depending o how cheap is cheap you could have quite an investment there. I do gritblasting for a scooter restorer here in Sheffield and he's turning machines out like shelling peas!

Hi guys.
Thanks for the welcome, I'll be gleaming plenty of advice in the near future! Bizarrely the vespa appeared in a local auction that only sells furniture!?! It's sat for 4 years outside hence the rust and spiders but started second kick with a fresh plug and petrol.
I've ordered a replacement floor pan but will still need to fabricate the bottom of the legshields. More skills to learn

The guy I do work for has lambrettas lined up exactly as they were bought in with labels such "Engine Runs £1800" attached to them!

Yep, lammys are very pricey. Just got mine back from the blasters on thursday which explains my dads annoyance at finding another scooter in his garage (or as we call it now, 'my garage'). Gonna stick a Mig and gas in there too
Now if I can just turn his shed into a paint booth...
