Hilti te 10 issue

I have a hilti te10 sds drill here, the last time I was using it, there was a funny sound coming from it after use, sounds like burning/shorting but didn't seem to have any affect on using it.

Any ideas what it might be?

I would open it up and check the motor brushes and look for any connections that could be faulty.

If it is the brushes you'll eventually damage the armature if you keep on using it.

It could be dust in the motor. If it's making a noise without the trigger pressed there's something definitely wrong though.

I would also give some thought to double checking the 2 core cable right where it enters the drill handle area, very prone to fracture, but it generally fails or burns. brushes might well be on a special brush carrier.

fried suppressor /capacitor In there to stop the nasty lines on your TV Replace or remove. Think of the caps that go (cook) on compressors or digi boxes ext.
