Hinge help needed

Hello all. I'm looking for some help to a what is probably a very simple problem but that is causing me some problems. I need to hinge a door formed from 40mm box but where the hinge mechanism is completely hidden from the 'front'. The two faces must meet perfectly flush when closed so don't think something such as a piano hinge will work. I may not have explained it very well so I hope the picture might help.looking forward to the very simple solution!

you could put a length of pipe all the way through the one side of the box section and have it pivot in a bearing in the floor and the top of the door frame
this will give you a no hinge look but may require a clearance gap so it opens and closes ok

What's wrong with weld on type butt hinges. Done flat on inner face. Or make your own with nb pipe and a bit of bar.
You could even wind In pin and eyebolt type to do that.
Am I missing something here?

I did think of this too but one, I'd have to recess a concrete floor for the bearing (can't be visible!) And two, correct me if I'm wrong but because the pivot point is now in the centre of the box section a wider gap is needed between the sections to allow the radius (of front left corner) to rotate inwards

It's screwed to the back inner face of the box in the picture. Weld a flat over the gap if you want it concealed.

I'd go with the car bonnet or car door hinges hinges too . They are easy to make & weld in place too.

Find a locksmiths or a decent hardware store that sells safes & have a look at how some of the safe doors are hinged .
A quality approved Gun safe should also have concealed hinges if my memory serves me correct . .

the only way you will do it is as mentioned earlier with a car bonnet type hinge similar to below which is a very rough example and obviously wouldn't work due to the angle but you get the idea, you would need to make it so it would move out slightly to pass the corner of the fixed door frame corner

You need the industrial cantilevered door hinges which are very similar to the kitchen door cupboard hinges, but on steroids. They come in a variety of designs and types and can be welded on or screwed on.

If the rh bottom of The Snoopers is set up with another hinged point that's welded to the box body so it forms a letter " C" that should do it
