Posted on this on today I acquired thread as it had some issues.
The gearbox and downfeed were both locked, but now sorted.
Anyway it was a bit mingning so though I would strip down a bit and clean up, need to knock up a downfeed lever, but apart from that the rest seems ok now the gearbox is flushed and oiled.
Fasteners were a bit nasty but after a hot U/S bath with IPA & detergent, then good dry and ACF liberal squirting have come out well.
The blacked steel parts came out surprisingly well after going over on a first cut mop, tarnish and surface rust have gone back to black so will wax oil mix coat to protect.
Steel brightwork over with oil and scotch bright has come out good.
This is all degreased, keyed for paint and solvent cleaned, although might not look it...
