Well actually I made the part in the video. Just a lash up but it works.

I am actually building a press.

Today I am playing musical tool boxes.....but it seems like the equivalent of two chairs being taken away each time.

I liked the idea about making hinges from tube and bar.... strong and decent sized.

Looks good, and he certainly works quicker than I do. Someone posted a plan on Retro Rides for one made of MDF the other day, with a note saying it should cope with up to 16swg mild steel, though I am a little suspicious of that.

Now I've watched it through, I found it a bit like watching the start of "Casualty", trying to figure out who will get injured and in what way. Mind, he must have asbestos fingertips if he can hold stuff in place while he welds it together, so a bandsaw and that sander would probably bounce off.

Nice video though, and a handy way to make a useful thing. A pity my local scrap metal merchants don't get as much useful old stuff in as they used to.
