How does this Scorpio gear shifter dismantle?

This is a LHD shifter. I have a brand new RHD knob assembly and want to swap them. It was my impression that the screw is removed and then it pulls off, but this one doesn't even wobble. Anyone know for sure how to do it?

Got to be something on the interlock mechanism?

I think it looks similar to the VW ones. Try pulling the silver release knob outwards a bit, which should release it.

I got it off! Removed the screw, jer jer jiggled it a bit and then pulled straight up. The switch needs to come out of it now and I have yet to work out how that happens. It must come out forwards, but whether the button comes off to the expose a screw or something, I'm not sure. I would like to transplant it into the RHD knob.

Sorted it. There is a little slot underneath the green button which is used not to flip the button out, but to pull the whole assembly forward out of the moulding. It is merely a tight push fit.
