How long to fill

Took 35 mins today to fill my 200 ltr tank before it shut off,is this right,or should it be a matter of a few mins.Also i noticed a hissing coming from a little hole on top of the regulater knob,and dident stop,which i thought it should do,so does this mean that the regs knackered.

Sounds a long time.

The regulator shouldn't hiss all the time, only slightly when you decrease the pressure setting with pressure in the outlet pipe. (It bleeds excess pressure to atmosphere).

You could try dismantling and cleaning the reg. but I've found this only works for a short time, replacement with a good make is the best option.

If it's leaking out as it's filling it will take longer to fill, but I wouldn't have thought a slight bleed from the reg would make much difference.

Its always been the same bud,and i also made a new air filter from polyester,so i wonder if thats causing a problem,hence my latest thread on this page.Is it worth stripping the pump down or anything to see if its full of gunk.
