How many coats of cellulose?

Hello all,

I've etch primed (in bare metal places), zinc 182 primed (on the remaining areas), seam sealed then applied one coat on cellulose top coat so far to the inner arches, inner wings and engine bay area of my classic mini.

My question is how many coats of cellulose top coat are recommended for these underneath areas?

I am planning to use Dinitrol Schutz under the wings afterwards to protect it from the elements.

i would have applied at least 2, 2nd straight after the first had flashed off, if you only applied 1 you will need to key it again to put on a second

How good a finish do you want? if you are Schutzing under wing 2 coats should be ok, under bonnet again what colour some have poor opacity & require more coats to cover, make sure you use correct colour primer if using low pigment colour.
Some painters put thick coats others thin, painting is an art as well as a science, you need to know your product to get the best out of it.
Have used 7\8+ coats before now BUT you have to let solvents evaporate or micro blistering or crazing will follow may not be for months but trapped solvent will spoil your day.
Don't know if A&W still do Poly paint? lovely material you could spray a coat & within an hour be back on it with 400 wet & dry And the gloss
