I hate DIY shows that some idiot grabs some tool, plays with it for 2 minutes and is now an expert.

I have read the manual that came with the WeldPak. It describes what a good weld should look like. So this guy never even RTFM'ed and is now giving advice.

i noticed the fact he stressed about gloves an proceeded without them whilst welding,have you noticed how far hes got the contact tip protrudding from the shroud??????????? dunno about you guys but i dont weld with my contact tip sticking that far out ............watch when he trims the wire to see how far out it is @ 1st going by the attempt @ tacking an welding i thought he didnt have a shroud on lol

He actually has the shroud on back to front if you look closely

I don't think it's a shroud....it's a rubber cover that protects the live bits of the torch if you are using gasless wire....it replaces the shroud.

There was a thread or post that mentioned this a good few months ago, i think it was also with a machine available in the US.
