its just like polyethylene welding, except we use heater plates to heat the pipe/material up, let it soak on the plate for a certain period of time , eject heater and press material together. this joint is just as strong, if not stronger than the original material. it creates a bead just like the friction weld above, inside and on the outside. google fusion provida and look at the pipe systems division
