whilst 6m of 5mm 100 x 100mm can be carried on long reach ladders a double set for spreading the weight and support
tied onto vehicle and stoped from sliding forward whilst high vis tied to the rear
drive slow careful and considerate and drive wide as you have one hell of a long length in the front and rear and wide turns is the best method

Mind you labs can be deceiving - Tali's (model in photo) great uncle was borderline anorexic but 45kg which for a lab meant he was huge.

If it's not too heavy and bulky you may be able to utilise a boat trailer, just make sure load it's secure, well marked and probably a light board.
6m is perfect for a 20 ft truck ,,,, the guys round here charge a flat fee for delivery so if your getting more than a couple of lengths it vanishes into the steel price , actually for what they charge you couldnt put diesel into a land rover and go for it , let alone a truck.
12 quid delivery from 30 miles away ,,, granted it may take a day or two depending on the trucks run but if its not huge stuff the driver will leave it in the yard or the barn for you ,,, great service. [ Hannon Steel ]

With cutting list in hand, Sthil saw and in the car park it was all cut togo in the van, wasnt going to pay their cuttin* charge, or delivery.

used to have a mk2 escort van with 2 bar roofrack . i put 2 x18 foot 9x3 wooden beams on it and 3 x 20 foot scaffie poles on the tires went a bit flat and it drove like an american car in a movie but took it ok
