In all the searching on the web, I believe this community to be the best when it comes to information and welding topics and discussions. Recently, my newest job involves MIG welding the highly discussed, and scrutinized element of (bauxite) aka aluminum. Having to fabricate aluminum, and welding it, It's not as big of a deal as everyone makes it out to be. With enough current, and setting the wire speed just right, and making sure it's "REALLY" clean, if you can mig steel, with practice it's a breeze! Although, I don't agree with "The hissing" noise, it's more like a fine tuned "Buzz". But, every machine is is different.
