Hi All,
My Name's Alex - from Bristol, UK.

Currently technically own a Lincoln MIG Welder, but it's being "looked after" by a friend who was going to buy it... and who has since ignored my calls! ATM it suits me for him to continue to store it, but have plans for a workshop when we move later this year out to the country somewhere. Planning (hopefully) a full 4-post lift along with welding/metalworking facilities.

I'm heavily into my Landies, own a 99 Discovery 2 TD5 with a lot of mods. Looking when we move to buy another older one to really take properly offroad trialing.

I'm a IT tech by trade, but have delved into electrics at events for a couple of clients, as well as doing Access Control, Alarms, Network installs, Phone Systems etc. as well as doing Website Hosting as well.

So anyway, enough about me. I tend to lurk, but have a wealth of knowledge I enjoy sharing

If my calls to my "mate" were being ignored, I would be round there sharpish to pick up my gear, not ready to move or not,Sounds to me like he thinks the lincoln has changed ownership already without any money changing hands,I have a lot of Lincoln gear myself and it's great,but repairs are too expensive, Particularly when somebody else has been doing the wearing out.Just a pet peeve of mine,if somebody wants something for a lengthy time, then they need one of their OWN.

A friend of mine had a similar experience, when he went to fetch his tackle back the borrower had flitted and it had been sold. My tools come with me as an attachment.

It's a long and complicated story, but it's also a large and cumbersome piece of kit that I have nowhere to store at present. Plus it's at his Mum's place so not going anywhere
