This is the inner (pressure) seal on a couple rams rods (there are also two outer wiper seals to stop dirt getting into this seal), but the old ones disintegrated on removal, so I ended up with an o-ring in amongst the remnants of the seals.
I think the o-ring was on the inside (pressure side), which would make sense in that pressure would increase the sealing force, but I'm wondering if anybody could confirm that before I reassemble the rams.
