Hydraulic valve seals

Hi all,

I'm looking for a supplier of the plastic rings either side of the o rings that sit on hydraulic soloniod valves. I believe they are PTFE.

The valve in question is off the quick hitch circuit on a js130 excavator. jCB don't provide a seal kit and a new valve is 470 plus the vat!!!


I'd like to find a " selection box" of the rings to keep in the workshop for such situations.

Your best bet is to find someone who repairs hydraulic cylinders locally who should be able to get them for you.

Find some one with a lathe and some nylon or acetal. Could knock up some of them in no time. Be even easier and cheaper if you could find a piece of plumbing pipe similar size to part off.

They look like Parker Hannifin valves, try their website. (Parker are one of our customers and I am on their site in Crewkerne fairly regularly, it used to be Sterling Hydraulics)..

What I'm after is a selection box of them, I can get them individually no problem, I could also turn some But It's not a great use of my time to be sat turning rings.

The correct name for them is 'anti-extrusion rings' or sometimes 'back up rings'

Maybe useless info but might help if your calling suppliers.

What dimensions are they? Got a raft of them at work going spare. Used to use them on a set of pumps but have just decommissioned the pumps so they spares we usage for them are surplus to requirements. If we have any that suit dimensions wise your welcome to them for nowt.

I use a fantastic company call Hanshel Seals & Mouldings Ltd, very small company and surprisingly cheap they are in churcham, I'm nothing to do with them btw

I use a firm in pilsworth(bury)called hydraulics direct,give them your item,and they can have some made up for you.

Compare them to the seal kits for the quick release couplings. Might be the same size. Not a selection box but.

Cheers for the suppliers gents, and also thanks for the offers to send me a few rings, however this is a job for one of my "customers" so il buy some in, if it was for a personel project then I would gratefully take them but it doesn't seem right to take freebies for a paying job!
