Hydraulics help

So the new to me Bomford B577 hedge flail thingy was bought cheap with issues, cheap enough to spend a chunk on it to get it right but considering how many of these things are out there information seems scant!
The rams that extend the arms are controlled by this KA10 valve block, it should have three cables attached, 2 of which the adaptors are missing which isnt a problem but I think its probably had water in it where the 2 are missing but im really struggling to find any information/spares for these, anyone got any good ideas?
The pump is running and the flail head spins ok controlled by its operating lever which is on a different valve so im assuming the high pressure side is working?

Should I just bite the bullet, pull the valve block off and strip it?

If it was me I would strip the valve block, looks like a simple bank of spool valves.

I would junk the whole thing and fit a new spool valve complete with the cables and sticks. By the time you locate bits and fettle what you have you would probably spend more.

You may get help from Bomford, they used to be helpful, though years since I supplied hydraulics to them.

I did try bomfords but couldn't get anyone to answer the phones!

Presumably I need open centre as they are operating double acting rams?? Is that correct?

Open Centre valves are used for simple hydraulic systems running a fixed displacement pump, pretty sure that will be the case with your Bomag spool valve.

Don't quote me if I am wrong but according to "phone a friend" the seal kit for the block is 05.449.01. He repairs agri tools and though rare in France compared to Kuhn there are a few about. I would email Bomford to confirm and get a price or a reseller name before commiting to an audit of whats inside.

I would think that larringtons hydraulics will have all you need .
On the north fourth foot bank , near Boston .

Ye of little faith. I do have a few of these spool valves with control cables, may be ok to bodge up what you have but they have been kicking about since god was a boy.

The only thing I will add is some of the side arm spools have a float position. This is for when the flail is down on the roller running along undulating ground.

Could you cast your eye over the layout please, I just need to confirm the 3 spool valves all need to be double acting?
