Hydrovane 25 seal

I was fortunate recently to pick up a hydrovane 25 on the forum. Idea was to build one good one out of two. Does anybody know where you can get the main shaft oilseal from without having to buy a complete top up kit? Have all the gaskets, orings and shims, so am loathe to have to fork out £150 ish on a top up kit just to get one seal.

Haven't got photos to hand as its at home. Rotor shaft is 25mm though, that I do know as I have just sleeved it as it had quite a groove in it.Its not a standard type oilseal with a spring in it, it's got a metal casing by the looks of it and a double sealing arrangement. No doubt specifically manufactured for Hydrovane...

bearing place should be able to get you one ?

try BSL ?

they get me some funky seals sometimes for old machines at work :-)

BSL supplied me some pretty funky seals before - I've walked in with a seal the guy behind the counter had never seen or heard for before, he made a quick quick measurement, description and phone call to someone in the warehouse who deals with that stuff and they found it no problem

Will make a tool to get it out without destroying it at the weekend

Double lipped Ptfe seal capable of ten bar being made in Birmingham. Ten days lead time and £65 I didn't think was bad.
