Hydrovane 48 air centre help

I have an old hydrovane 48 10hp air centre.
It have been out off service for a while before i Got it, it sounds good
While running and makes max pressure within seconds after start up.

I have ordered af generel service kit and new Oil.

Is it possible to get view of the vanes and the barrel, to see if any corrosion is
In progress?

I am thinking of using it for sand blasting, so it wont get to run on longer
Periods.

How offen should the Oil be changed? 2,3-4 times a year??

Hydrovanes have a service schedule of every 2000 run hours or every year, whichever comes first. And for having a look at the vanes i would suggest unless you really know what your doing then dont. As long as it runs quietly and creates air then leave them alone as the blades are doing their job. Only when they get loud or stop producing air do you take them apart

Hi I have a hydrovane 5 compressor and hasn't been used for about 18 months was in a damp garage when I went to use it I couldn't get it to start what could be wrong is there a hidden reset button on it or internal fuse many thanks in advance.

you will have to use a voltage tester or a multimeter and check at every point to make sure the power is there

When you say won't run as In physically nothing happens?

Or it blows the breakers?

Open the cabinet and check the thermal overloads

Indeed I noticed that, but 5's have a switch gear box
