Hello All, apologies in advance for this out of the blue appeal for help but I have 2 Hydrovane 502 PUTS air end units that are not behaving themselves after a full service using kits KM51 and KT52.
I suspect that both have been neglected in the past and need more than the usual TLC!
Both are leaking from the main shaft seal. The first one I'm pretty sure is due to a worn/pitted rotor shaft and I'm in the process of installing a new rotor and stator to address the issue; but the second is also suffering from aerated oil in the main oil housing (thick foaming oil escaping from the main shaft seal and oil filler when opened after shutdown) which leads me to believe there´s an over pressure/circulation problem. Thats as far as my knowledge goes I'm afraid, and would welcome input from more experienced folks as to what the problem could be.......Many thanks in advance ;-)
