Hydrovane compressor oil

I've got a small hydrovane that I want to service before I move it on. I've just drained the oil and it's green. The new stuff I have (that I got for a different hydrovane) is red. I've also got some clear Compair oil going spare.

The million dollar question is are the different coloured oils compatible? Or is it a bad idea to use the red stuff? I think it's from Morris Lubricants

According to this eBay listing compair changed oil suppliers some time ago. The colour might have changed then too.
These guys will probably have your answer anyway.

Yes sell. This one is single phase, although I also have a larger 3 phase one that might be needing a new home as well.

The single phase hydrovane I have is the smaller version I think, pretty low cfm if I remember correctly.

Just a thought - why change it? First thing I did when I bought mine was change the oil, filter etc, regardless of what previous owner claimed.

Because I don't know its history. I got two hydrovanes a while ago, a 5 and a 15. I was going to use one myself and keep the other at my old man's shed so got the service kits and 20L of the compair oil. I then got lucky and got an upright Hydrovane HV04 along with receiver and drier so the smaller one is surplus to requirements. May as well give it a service and test it before selling it seeing as I have the stuff to do it.

Hydrovane oil was red up until last year, they’ve now changed to clear. Flush the oil and add the red stuff. Maybe change separator filter when doing it aswell. Don’t put the compair oil in that’s for screws
