Hydrovane hvo2 pressure switch

Hi Guys I have bought a Hydrovane hvo2 and smashed the pressure switch during transport the serial no is condor mdr 3-ea.I have searched online and these are £120 + .Can I use a generic pressure switch or do I have to use this one ?
I started the unit up and it was a lot louder than I expected,I have bought a service kit and will change the oil before fitting a new switch.

Assuming it's a single phase unit, upto 3kw motor then a generic pressure switch will be fine. Although be aware it won't be anywhere near the quality of the Condor.

LOL !! I've bought that actual one myself to repair a mates compressor !! It's not bad for the money, certainly worked fine and still does over 6 months later.
Having said that, I need to check that it's ok for a Hydrovane, I think they have a different method of pressure blow off. I'll check mine later today.

Don't worry about the pressure switch, thats no biggy, you just need to get the correct type.
I am worried about your comment that it's noisy though, they are known for their quietness !
It is true that a Hydrovane with problems is a money pit though, so fingers crossed.

Thought so, the compressor has it's own internal unloader valve so it doesn't need connecting to the pressure switch.
So, that one on ebay will be fine.

what about the overheat trip ,the red wire that goes to the motor/vane ?
shall I post photos ?

Normally it's only the types that don't have a receiver that have the overheat sensor, is that the case ? In which case it wouldn't have a pressure switch.
Normally that sensor is connected to the control box though ?
