I am doing something wrong ?

Recently found I am having to replace the copper tips every time !
I am using 0.8mm wire on a Clarke MIG welder 135 TE (virtually new ) I have tried both speeds etc

Why is the weld, welding the tip to the wire ?

Speed too slow. Clarke recommend between 6 and 7 for mild steel, iirc.

if its just started happening the liner might need changed

What gas are you using? In the first picture it looks like you have had the nozzle too near the weld. Are the tips also 0.8mm to match the wire? Tip in second pic does not appear to be screwed all the way home. You may well need to increase the wire feed.

Actually, it happened with me a lot when I first started using mig too although I was well used with mma

What is the liner ?

its usualy a plastic conduit or like a bicycle brake cable outer that can be replaced

2nd hand machine or new? If the latter, pop into the local MM and get them to have a look at it, But it does look as has been said, Wire speed too low and the tip looks to be screwed in cross threaded. What size wire are you using?
