Evening all, have to say this forum is going to repair a gaping hole in my skill set I can feel it transfusing as I type, Electrical foreman by profession so I know the rudiments of metal munching, pipe strangling and bird sh*t welding and machine tool control panels but never had the chance to use the machines I've installed.
Not good enough Carter, we've been hitting metal into fantastic forms since the Iron Age so stop guessing and LEARN! I'm of the opinion that the ability to confidently handle metalwork should be considered a rudimentry and vital life skill and more importantly in my case a vital money saving skill and God knows I've chucked enough time, cash and knuckle skin at this...

... to know the value of the experience I'm lacking, I mean what the hell does a ring roller do and is it the most suitable bit of kit to do the job I want? Over the coming months I hope to find out.
Hey ho! 25yrs of industrial and site work and I've kept all my finger ends, this could change.
Much obliged in advance
