Id this pillar drill

I'm helping clear a garage of tools that belonged to the grand father of one of my mums friends theres all sorts of stuff in there lots of welders air tools etc and in the corner this pillar drill that I carn't identify it looks homemade to me. I tried it and it works fine, bit of a health and safety nightmare though

It looks like a manual drill that has been converted to motor power. Make is irrelevant, value is low.

As above, the guard and motor mount is clearly home made. If it works alright, all well and good.

Thanks guys I thought it was home made got to try and find some room for it now.

Did it have a name based on the old viking system of naming a tool after it's function.
Maybe Finger Muncher, Limb Shredder or something of that ilk.
Fabulous, a good example of form over function.

If I had to make a guess I would say a Denbeigh, what I can see of the
main casting looks like one, the table looks homemade.
Denbeighs have the name in the casting, in big letters you can't miss, it should be under that cover and they have a neat helical groove belt tightening thingie.
