Identify gas bottle

Hi,

Can anyone help me identify the gas bottle in the picture. It came with a welder I bought and I was told it contained Argon/CO2 mix (Argoshield style). Are the colours correct for this? Also is it possible to tell if its BOC or Air Products etc I can't see any owner markings. Bottle is 140mm diameter and 730mm high not including the valve.

Not sure exactly what it is. I get Coogar (CO2, argon mix) from air products and the bottom of the bottle is roughly the same colour as yours. I have this vague recollection that CO2 bottles are brown/black so I'm guessing it's probably Coogar.

The BOC bottles I've had have always needed a key and had the screw in part facing upwards whilst the Air Products ones have always had a tap and had the screw facing outwards. On that basis I reckon yours is AP.

Thanks for the replies. Had a PM from weldequipe with an ID on this.

Just out of interest how do BOC etc identify their bottles if there is nothing stamped on them? Any lables or the plastic handles are likely to go missing in use.

BOC cylinders have the outlet out the top... regulator sits on the top of the bottle. They generally also don't have an on/off tap (spindle key required)

AP & AL have outlets on the side like the one pictured, with tap on the top.
