Identify this plastic

Hi need some help identifying this plastic to affect a repair. It's off a genuine NOGA DTI mounting arm so well worth the effort.

I'm guessing it's injection moulded so some sort of thermosetting plastic. There are some little flecks of blue in there which I suspect are unwanted inclusions. The plastic is brittle (!) and has sharp edges with a very grainy surface. It's too small to do a burn test or any other type of destructive analysis.

I am hoping to either glue it or solvent weld either way I am looking for a solid permanent bond. The part is not highly stressed - unless you bung it in the post so it rattles around in a box of mounting base magnets!

Sound like it's like the plastic you get on electrical sockets and boxes. If so then it stick with some epoxy glue.

Sounds like fibre reinforced plastic same as suspension components on RC cars etc. We never managed to glue it properly but it was taking a bashing.

I'm guessing either ABS or Acetal/Resin. Either way I glued it with epoxy, clamped it and it's all reassembled without springing apart.

The blue flecks could be glass fibre reinforcement.

Looked like plastic under the microscope. There was a thin seam of it running along the break.

It got broken because the eBay seller posted two complete, assembled arms, along with their mag bases, loose in a box!

He gave me a refund no questions and I get to keep it too. Still a shame because it smashed/bent one of the DTIs too.

Silver one is a genuine NOGA arm.
