Identifying a Bosch fuel injection pump

Is there any way to identify what engine a particular Bosch injection pump is intended for? I've googled the numbers on it but not found anything of use yet.

What numbers have you got

0470 504 ???
0470 004 ???
0470 006 ???

Bosch numbers are ten digits - new pumps start with 04 some remans start with 09.

Some Bosch pump numbers are superceeded with a new number - I can cross these on Bosch ESi


What pump do you want to fit to what?

Hi the number is 0460 426 292

It's a pump my old man has, and is going to move it on so would be handy to know what it's meant for, to advertise it correctly.

0460426292 is a six cylinder VE Bosch pump fitted to Ivecos

You got the your five mixed up with a six?


Iveco part numbers:

IVECO 500326169
IVECO 8023957

OK thanks, I did have a 5 there initially but, edited to 6 in the 0460 part of the number.

Some of these are 12volt some are 24volt.

OK I'll check to see if there is any voltage on the stop solenoid.

Advertise it on the 'run your car on used chip fat' sites, these are great for that.

Ebay would be the best place, plenty of numbers and cross references in the ad for each part and they will find a home.

That's what I was thinking, wasn't sure if there was some site tucked away on the Web where generator geeks hung out.

I think the parts are from the bigger engines like the QSK series, not sure on the generator parts but I'd imagine they are from the same bits of kit.

It was a bit of a flippant comment but I know when I was on the vwt4 forum guys were after boschpumps for spares repairs and replacement and also a lot interest in the cooking oil side of it.
