Identifying quick release fitting

Hello folks, I hope you are all well!

My name is John and am having a bit of a mare identifying the quick release coupling my new compressor has been fitted with.

I own pcl, euro and uni hi flow snaps but none of them fit the coupling!

Any help you can give us would be much appreciated!

if u have plenty of plugs just buy the quick release socket to suit and fit it to comp

Unfortunately the coupling is glued into the pressure gauge. I've tried removing it but have had no joy!

Probably Loctite. If its the green type 2701) it can be hard to get out but some heat and brute force will beat it

Does it not say what fitting it uses in the manual?

It could be a poorly machined PCL, I bought a female PCL socket and none of my male PCL's would fit it as the tolerance was too small.

It looks like some no-name ones I got from ebay. They were made by Am-Tech but seen identical ones in various packages at assorted shows/car boots. If you can get at ebay look at item number 191515128082. No idea what they are actually called or whose standard they are but I found them to be sort of compatible with the PCL XF or Euro ones (the male part of the smaller ones will work in a proper PCL XF female). Highly useful in my application as I fitted them to the gas lines on my welders so I can easily swap CO2 or Argon onto the MIG - but it also means that my 3-in-1 TIG/Arc/Plasma can easily have the argon bottle popped off and the airline connected when swapping from TIG to plasma cutter. I wouldn't actually use them for real air tools as they only have a bore of about 1/4" or even less.

Firstly John is that compressor an SGS Engineering ?

Second is your problem that the head of the plug is to wide to fit inside the coupler ?
