In Line Oilers

Help please!

I have a new set up. 100litre, 3HP compressor which will (hopefully) be running just a 50mm dual action sander/polisher and a reversible drill. Would it be right, or necessary, to put in place an oilerfor each tool. Do they connect direct to the air tool? or for speed changing would I use whip lines?

Any advice would be very helpful

comp - oiler - whip line ... tool. Your only gonna use one at a time so only need one oiler on one line

Those little inline oilers are useless. Fill with oil and they dump them in a few seconds.

Get a proper oiler. Put a "T" on your compressor, one with a quick disconnect and another with a canister-syle oiler and quick disconnect. Then you can plug in as needed.

you will need to designate hoses as "non-oiled" for spraying. Also hoses for oil need to be rated for the oil. I have one that is all slimy as the oils soaked right through the rubber.

If all that is too much hassle, just put a few drops of oil in the fitting every time you use a tool. I have a small syringe that makes it easy (plastic with no metal tip.)
