I got over 400 quid for the copper and I thought the boxes might look good
in the right setting as Planters. What do you think?

Yes clean them up a bit leaving the patina on them they will look good.

Get a good clear coat on them both.
Turn one into a bog Marsh garden and the other into a carnivorous plant garden.
