INE rods - once more into the breach

Needing to stock up on some 2.5mm rods, I nipped into the local farm supplies place and had a look at what they had. A shelf full of INE rods and the bottom shelf full of Hyundai stainless (which makes sense now that I think of it, with all the dairy equipment around here).
I'd only wanted to sample a couple, as I don't really want a boxful if they're no good. Unfortunately they wouldn't simply sell me a handful or even just give me a couple to try. Bloke on the counter said, "They're not just good, they're bloody good." How could I resist such a recommendation.
However, they were cheap enough to risk it, I think. 10Euros a box of 2.5kg, which is ok. I've no doubt they can be got cheaper, as the local shop isn't the cheapest for anything, but in the past I've been surprised from time to time. This was the same place that had NOS Lincoln WRx and Interweld rods which have been excellent over the years (when the machine was allowed to work properly, that is).

Any opinions on INE from the seasoned users in here? Good, bad, indifferent?

Not sure about the INE super but I have used the INE blu rods and they are a great rod, though they can be hard to restrike as the core tends to burn up inside the flux. Not on par with a Fincord but still a good rod and a whole lot cheaper.

Callan Co-op; I suppose INE have been making inroads into all the co-ops on their patch. No bad thing by the look of it.

Not sure about the INE super but I have used the INE blu rods and they are a great rod, though they can be hard to restrike as the core tends to burn up inside the flux. Not on par with a Fincord but still a good rod and a whole lot cheaper.

The first ones I picked up were blue, and I now realise they would have been INE46 blu (which I've read on here is a really good one for not a lot of money).
If the INE Super fit the buzzbox and the DC130 (should I get it) and also suit the big box, then I'll be happy to have found a good all-rounder for all that I'm likely to use it for. The 'easy strike' bit makes me think it will suit smaller hobby boxes with less coil reserve, but that won't matter too much once I get hold of the other machines.

The INE super blue is sold under many different names. Its possibly the best 6013 on the market.
Im not sure what the INE name for it is.

The funny thing is that I have never seen this brand sold locally (20 km from the factory...).
Next time I will need rods, I will search better.
Nice to know they are good.

I squandered a rod this afternoon to get a quick idea what these are like - there was the usual slight stickyness of starting with a buzzbox, but nothing much compared to others. Restarting wasn't much of a problem, either. That was at an indicated 80A, which might be nowhere near accurate. The rod burned nicely and slag peeled off well. I'd left the pack of rods in the diy rod heater overnight, and whether that helped, I don't know. Probably didn't hurt.
For a cost of 7c, I'm well satisfied

I'm sure you're convinced now, Farside, but you won't go far wrong with INE46 rods. I've run 3.2 and 4.0 on a very basic wee inverter and find them to be highly consistent, smooth running (rather more so on EP than EN) and with slag essentially self releasing. INE products are quite popular North & South over here.

And looking closer at the INE site, I see they do gasless MIG wire (INETUB BA71TGS), which is also well spoken of. I'll drop a request into the local stockist and ask if they can get me a small trial reel in.
