Ingersoll Rand Compressor help

Hi guys, Iv been looking around for a decent sized compressor and came across a second hand Ingersoll Rand for £600. Trouble is guy selling has no idea of specs, would anyone on here maybe have one that could tell me what cfm it produces?

Ideally im looking for something over 20cfm, its for everday painting, sanding and blasting corroded parts of wheels.

I do have my eye on a clarke SE26C200 which i will buy instead if i cant get anymore spec on the Rand, which would do for what i need £700 is about the limit of budget.

Don't know the specific details for that unit but I can tell you it won't be 20cfm with a 4kw motor.

Working on the basis of roughly 3cfm/hp - it's probably around a 16cfm machine?

The IR is 13cfm, so if you have 3 phase the Clark at 23cfm seems far better.

Thanks guys for the help, the ingersoll rand is a 3 phase motor so thought it might have been a decent output.

The clarke se26c200 seems like a decent comp for its money 23cfm 3 phase 200ltr can get from forth tools for £670 delivered, most powerful one i can find for the money.

Was going to go down the rotary route but secondhand i could end up buying a load of problems

I just bought the presurised shot blaster from clarke as well so the comp should run that for what i need, corroded spokes, keying up alloys etc.

If its for pro use, then why not look at leasing a new rotary? There is a reason why the Clark machine costs £700 and a name brand £3-4k.

I bought the clarke one today, i know it wont be as big an output as a big brand rotary but used clarke industrial compressors before and never had any problems.

I think their blue industrial line are far better built than the semi pro/ hobby use ones they sell so should last a while.

Basic everyday needs of my workshop this should handle everything i need, air da, spraying, airfed mask, occasional blasting etc.

Bargain then, if its not comparable to some of the other very poor stuff they sell.

Their airmaster and warrior brands are not up to much at all unless its light/hobby use, but the blue industrial line ones seem a bit more robust.

I had a old 100 ltr single phase industrial line one for 6 years and never gave me any grief but went through 3 airmaster little ones in a year with one of my mobile vans.
