Ingersoll rand

Would anybody know what Hp motor would be fitted on an old Ingersoll Rand
Type 30 two stage the only numbers on the comp are 48 2 1/2 X 2 3/4

The numbers should be stroke and bores.
I can't really make any sense of the numbers you gave.

Neither could I but have been told today that model was superseded by the Mod 2420 so might be able to get a better idea, Oh did find the Hp of the motor it was a 3Hp 3ph old G.E.C motor and heavy as hell, the rating plate was under several coats of paint.
