Hi All
About me -- Originally brought a Britool 160 Mig welder 18 yrs ago whilst working in the parts dept of an MG Rover dealership, had a couple dabbles with it (and i mean only a couple) then put it back in its box and stored it in the spare bedroom. With the demise of MG Rover about 3 years ago i flitted between jobs and about 18 months ago found myself working in the office of a small family (relatives) engineering and fabrication company. After watching the 3 guys 'knocking' things up from 'just lengths' of tubing etc. it stimulated my interest again and out come the 'Britool' oopps 'welder'. As i have quite a large garage 21ft x 12ft i thought this would make an ideal workshop for little projects so set about cleaning it out, painting it up and fitting worktops etc. As i am now in the final stages of finishing it off and ready to put all my 'toys' in there the question of security has come to the front, i will be fitting a burgular alarm system this weekend, the garage has 2 double glazed windows (was actually cheaper to replace the rotton frames with double glazed complete windows), for the front of the garage there is an up and over door and next to that is a conventional wooden door - the up and over is basically shot but as i have a trailer i still need it for access - i will take measures to reinforce and secure it from the inside, that leaves the achiles heel of the 'wooden door' **** any ideas
