Got a Kipor copy of a Honda EU 2000, with no spark, I've got a new ignition module on it and every other ignition component tests the correct ohms. The plug is good, so i think its either the ignition power winding is weak, or the ignition trigger pulse is too weak. The bump on the flywheel rotor that triggers the ignition has no magnetism , ie a screwdriver won't stick to it, is this normal ?
I don't know what voltage readings I should be getting from the trigger and ignition power windings when I pull start it. Maybe I could rig up an alternative bench power source to bypass the ignition power winding ?
This is my battered old work generator, and not worth spending big money on, I just want to keep it going until the inverter board blows.
