I'm using a stick inverter off the 16 amp supply in a boatyard, but the MCB keeps tripping out, it's a B10 type MCB, the RCD does not trip, and i'm using a 20 meter extension cable, is there anything i can do about this ?
No wonder it is tripping because the breaker is 10 amps and a b type so doesn't like huge start up load! That supply uses the 16 amp sockets etc but is protect at 10 amps to supply power to the boats electric hook up. Ask the boatyard manger/ owner about where there is a bigger supply because there must be maintenance that takes place that uses more than 10 amps!

Edit: i need to type faster, but the last bit i would still do!
if the boat yard allows people to plug in the boat yard that are moored up for a fixed price staY WITH ELECTRIC SUPLIED THEY LIMIT THE AMPERAGE THAT CAN BE PLUGGED IN AND USED . THE SAME AS CARAVAN SITES
