My Crypton Triangle 180amp transformer welder has been giving me grief, ie. knocking my RCD unit in the house (and it's probably blown the fuse in the plug, I've not used it since), to rewire the garage to support the high power demands the welder needs would be costly business, like £250 or so.
I've read the power demands for a similar sized (amperage, that is) inverter welder would be a lot less, I was thinking of an ESAB buddy or a Tec Arc 165i which would be around the £220 mark or something like that.
I've managed to run smaller AC units (about 100amps) from the garage without trouble before, the Triangle is obviously designed for a commercial environment, by getting an inverter (my original plan) will I get the same sort of trouble?
Cheers
