At the moment i have Clarke 3hp belt-driven 14cfm air compressor which i quite noisy and gets hot quite quick. I was looking for another belt-driven compressor to join them together for higher CFM but unfortunately go no space and only single-phase power
Looking to use the compressor for occasional shot blasting in eBay blasting cabinet (3-4 times a week max sandblasting brake callipers) .
Just wondering if 22cfm will be enough for my needs cabinet will be modified with a metering valve.

The specs they advertise are impressive, but I doubt they are realistic.
They are rated at 8bar which looks quite low.
The only other thread I found on here was somebody having a nightmare with theirs.
They look to be based in Latvia so aftersales support might be non existant.

Afletek CFM power problems?

I bought an Oil Free Air Compressor AFLATEK SILENT PRO100L. Low Noise, Portable compresses from Stokker. This was rated at 22cfm for the single phase version. So far I cannot get one of my lvlp guns (6cfm) to maintain even 2 bar. They have been terrible to deal with and keep blaming my power...

I would say 22CFM is optimistic on a 16A supply.

It would be cheaper to buy two of the 50l Hyundai silent compressors, I have one at the moment and plan to double up at some point. That would mean 4 motors and a higher output. B&Q selling them cheaper than anywhere else. £275.

I hope the op doesn't mind me jumping in on the post but can you tell me more about the hyundai compressor? I was going to post about them as it looks just what I need to replace a sip direct drive 50ltr compressor.

I sold off my 3 old piston compressors when I moved to a more built up area. The Hyundai is super quite, you could have it running all day and it wouldn't bother anyone. I will need a second one though when I get round to painting again.

The B&Q price is will under other suppliers but is still high compared to the output CFM for piston compressors.

What do you use it for? My useage will be sewing machine air functions which won't use much air and some light spraying:- glue through a gravity feed gun not large areas though. Like you I want the silent option, mine isn't too loud though noticable but will be using it more often so don't want to annoy neighbours.

i have a cheap ebay shot-blasting cabinet that i will be using 3-4 times a week for shot-blasting brake callipers. And then spraying them in colour. I know nigher cfm is better for blasting. Unfortunately, I'm restricted by space & only a single phase in my garage.
Up to now been using a local powder coating place buy every time i need to travel there & back and the finish is never perfect. I also spend a lot of time cleaning them out so could be rebuilt which i quite annoying

I've been using PRO100 for my small sandblasting equipment and spray painting for almost two years, and the only issue I've faced is a broken solenoid coil, which was replaced within two days after I contacted the dealer at aflatek.co.uk. I dont believe you. Youre not comercially sand blasting with that.

Also, aflatek doesnt exist at the address on the website, not unless its operating from the basement of a londis.
The company is registered as a mail order firm on compnies house too.

If I understood correctly, you meant industrial use, and as far as I know, this type of compressor is not designed for industrial use.
