is my welder rebadged ?

hi everyone newbie here

i just bought a maypole maxi mig 100 mp570
is it another model rebadged just trying to find info ive read a few posts but the mp codes was different ie. mp520 ect but cant find the mp570

so im not sure if its a sip or a sealey

any help or advise will be apreaciated

Back in the early eighties at least some Maypole units were made in Italy, judging by the brochures of the day, where all the parts were listed in Italiano. Where they are made more recently is anybody's guess. Back then, when SIP m/cs were still decent units, we used to rate the Maypole a bit below the SIP, at least for hobby welding.
Perhaps their pro units were a bit better, but I can't ever remember seeing them in bodywork or fab shops, even in those days.

Anyway, it may be okay, so pick up a disposable can of gas and give the machine give a few runs on some 2-3 mm scrap metal. With anything s/h you might get a few teething troubles that call for adjustment, but don't be put off, give it a try.

yes it says made in italy on this unit ,i will get some disposable gas there is a canaster on it not sure if its disposable or refillable but its empty anyway lol

it seems like an ok welder mainly bought for practicing with i will probably upgrade as i get better just wanted to know if it was rebadged as if it needs parts ect..

Lots of Italian makers, Cebora, CEA, Telwin, etc. Lots of lesser-known Italian makers, too. But it's a good sign, anyway. Spares should be common to many welders of the same size, time, and origin. Might be someone along in a little while who can give you more info.
You could also take a cautious look inside for any more identifying plates, or makers name on components, etc.

I reckon it could well be a rebadged Cebora, there's a few familiar features on it.

it is a cebora i had one with a BOC logo on it years ago until someone borrowed it along will most of my other tools at 2 in the morning
it should have wheels on the rear and a chrome handle screwed to the plastic handle

sorry no wheels {but i was going to put a set on it lol}and no chrome handle if it is a cebora any idea what model? do you know how easy it would be to run/convert it on to gassless mig saves keep buying disposable bottles?

gasless works out far more expensive then getting a pub bottle

I have this same welder. Does it say in your manual a part number for the trigger connector
