thinking of buying this, does anyone use one or can anyone recomend a better one for the same price? my boc dealer says he can do it for 100 pounds. on a tight price with christmas coming so any recomendations around the 100 pound mark please. thanks.

speedglas makes very good welding helmets, lots of people recommend them. If what you weld only requires a shade 11 this would be a good helmet. im not from your side of the world so i dont know to much about the price.

You can get a better helmet, for much less.

That helmet might be a Speedglas, but its fixed shade. A Parweld adjustable is much much less than 100 quid - something like 60 I think.

The reason for £100 sale could be because the 9000 series is being phased out. The Esab Origo Tech in my opinion is a very good helmet for the money and has been one of our best sellers

did see one of those john, and to be honest would sooner give my local welding shop the business rather than boc as he has always been really helpfull.. i got the link to the helmet from there website.
