It's blowing the electric in the building supplying the building I'm in, only did a few short runs not thermal or fuse unfortunately

Open it up amd get pictures. Likely there is a very visible component failure and there are several options that may be a cheap repair, tho other components that could make it scrap.

Give it several hours since it was last plugged to discharge any capacitors.

If it’s tripping the MCB then it’s probably an IGBT gone short circuit.
If you’re really lucky it will be scorched but they have a tendency to commit camouflaged hara kiri.

I've had a bit of a look inside, nothing obvious, going to send it back to ifl but they were fairly straightforward, if it's board it's prob not worth repairing which will be pretty annoying as this is my kept for good welder that's had not a lot of use and lives in the house

Off to Google sending 9kg lump off to Devon, would have really enjoyed myself today too, playing with steel and land rover.

Thats a shame. IFL were very helpful in repairing ours. Not awfully expensive either, they replaced the control PCB (not the main board)

They were great on the phone and it's clear to see the machine is low mileage

£10. For DPD to deliver it so fingers crossed.

Makes moving them easier, depending on which way your turning things, units can be 50ft x 14ft wide and moved through gaps barely big enough, even when pulling ie reversing having the hitch offset helps get round corners

I've run into the back of an almo rental car in my own which has different winch bumper but similar hitch assy, land rover 1 hire car 0, it wrapped the rear of the hire car neatly around the front, pushed the boot to the back seats, crumpled the roof and jammed the front doors, hit it at about 45mph after the idiots pulled out from a side, after an hgv had passed them right Infront of me on the A1.

They could have killed themselves or someone else.

They tried to say it was my fault for not braking in time, police turned up and dispelled any notion that theory would hold up in court and it certainly wasn't what they would put in the report.

They admitted liability and that was that, didn't need to claim anything for the landy.
