Hello every one

A quick intro:

Iv just finished a BEng in chemical and process engineering at Sheffield university .

Im a keen cyclist and biker.

Looking to restore my dads old MG this summer then take it over to Europe for some touring fun. (it needs welding)

In September im work starting for for BOC as a graduate engineer.

Hi Simon. Glad to see someone else bringing down the average age a bit. Most of this lot are well past their sell by dates!!!

So what exactly is process engineering? I've a vague idea but being as I'm supposed to be doing a module in it next year it'd be good to hear from someone who's done it.

Its something that is hard to define really but il give it ago.

There's one very basic principle that can be applied to everything. Its something referred to as the bucket law.

IN - OUT + Generated - Consumption = Accumulation

My degree mainly focused on the chemical side (thermodynamics reactor engineering etc)

basically what you have in the bucket is what you put in minus what you take out.

Where abouts are you studying ?

Its a 1978 midget which is going to be de-bumpered and cleaned up .

the arches need repairing as do some small section of the boot , sills and the majority of the floor plan were done 5 years ago by a friend.

Err, right. I'm at Bristol. Just finished the third year and, results depending, moving on to the fourth and final one.
