Picked this up for the Wife today .
It has good compression clean oil but no spark .
Normally stuck points .
No bits broken or missing .
She loves it .
30 Quid i got it for .
Be nice restored

Snap I recently got a JAP engined Goodenough pump courtesy of @Cato got it unseized yesterday to find no spark or compression but it's early days yet.

If you post the top line of the serial number I can tell you what year it was built.

It's a 2A model built in 1952 and if you look at the top cowling between the hole for the sparkplug and the fuel tank mount there is usually another date stamp by the company (AJH) that made the tinwork.

My 2S must have been built early in 1958 as that's what the engine number gives, but the tinwork is stamped 1957!
