both compressors will have non return valves fitted between the pumps and the tanks as standard. just put a ball tap between the 2 tanks if there permanently conected or use quick release couplings with a short hose with plugs either endI know there's loads of threads regarding this but still need some more info. Is it necessary to have non return valves when joining 2 together?

i have a twin pump and motor set up on a large storage tank. either pump can be run seperately to fill the tank or both run at same time if large volume is needed if 2 tanks are used and coupled with a hose all that is required is a ball valve to shut off air between the tanks if just a small amount of air is requiredThat method would mean 1 pump could fill both tanks, would it not be better to fit NRV's to tank outlets to prevent possible overworking of pump?
compressors and one pump failed to start the other one would exceed duty cycle trying to fill both tanks? an NRV on tank outlets would prevent this.
