jtf auto dark helment

Recently been into jtf wholesale, they have an auto dark helment including VAT for 18 quid?

Anyone got one, and are they worth buying?

I don't wanna buy one if its gonna make me blind.

I imagine it will be similar to the ebay cheapies, I have used one for 3 years and the fact I am typing this proves I have not gone blind.

Most of them have variable shade 9-13. Some of the cheapies have only one shade, which could be a nuisance. It's worth checking before you buy.

They should all have passive (works whether the electronically controlled visible light filter works or not) UV and IR protection.

For the difference, I'd go for one of the several £25ish ebay ones, which a lot of people on here use and recommend. For all I know, the JTF one is the same as the ebay ones.

thanks for the replies. I've been in two minds whether they are worth getting. As the mask i have is a good one, but its a pain some times.

I'll give them a ring, to check about the information in the above posts.
