Are all quick release couplings the same?

I'm looking for a hose and draper do kits:

As the kits come with the couplings suited to the hose, will they definitely fit in the quick release on my air compressor?

Oh, and if you want to recommend a hose that is cheap and work well with a 24l air receiver that'll be great!

There are different types of couplings, the hose in the link looks like the most common type.

From what i remember when i bought a smallish compressor i had to change the couplings on the compressor to this more commonly available type.

Can you post a picture of the couplings on your compressor.

What make of compressor is it?

They do look shorter than the draper ones.

I think your'e right the best bet would be, as you say, to take them along with you.

Still not having much luck with this... bought some of these from Halfords

But they didn't have any Quick Release Male couplings so went to an Autofactors and got some draper ones which don't Fit.

Can anybody help me with the technical term of this type of fitment?

I' dbe inclined to buy a matching pair of PCL Vertex fittings - less easy to pop off than standard PCL.

I had one of those Mickey Mouse fittings on my Wolf compressor,but found that a standard PCL male fitting would click in and make an airtight seal - it just looked odd.
I eventually found a male counterpart on a cheap underseal gun I bought so now I have a matching pair.

Beware of buying Schrader couplings from fleabay

I bought a couple of five packs and half of them have failed at 10 Bar, not nice!
