Just bought a new compressor!

Hi all just decided to buy myself a new compressor:

Power Craft
2.5 hp 230v
Only 24ltr Capacity
9.5 cfm
3 year warranty

As I'm sure a lot of you will have seen this in aldi, but for 80 notes and a 3yr warranty on it and all the parts I thought its worth it.
I also bought the regulators and beed blastert for the rusty stuff.

Just wanted it to get some practice in spraying small parts and its handy as its small.

Well the plan is to get some practice in with that and then get myself something much more capable and use that for feeding a mask and tools etc.

Only problem is now I'm not sure what's a suitable spray gun to go for, any ideas?

It'll only be for small projects and maybe bumpers if it'll cope.

get a mini gravity gun off ebay , i have the same compressor and it will run the mini gun fine

ideal for half a bumper or a wheel and so on

Can't figure why Powerdraft stick a 25L tank on.Surely a 50L wouldn't have made a vast price difference.That would have made the thing quite useful.

I got a gravity gun off Ebay for about £12 for the same comp...amazed how good it is, had some great finishes with it.. I also run an airbrush off it, dead handy for small touch up jobs...again from Ebay at the grand total of £6 and it even sprays better than my gravity gun...from a thin line to 25mm wide spray pattern.

I bought the air drill...thats works well, the cut off tool...great for thin material, the impact gun...removed a stubborn axle nut with ease and the reversable ratchet..not tried it yet.

the airline you get with this the clear small bore one does anyone know what size the connections are and if its worth buying a bigger bore airline?

connections are called "hi flow"

Ahh its nice to see im not the only one who thought it was a good deal, just finished putting it together and giving it a quick startup.

Think ill get a grav fed gun off ebay worth it I supose for what your paying.

Cant wait to get going and then eventually get a propper jobbie.

Worth buying a larger diameter airline?
Also i bought a Impact gun but it wont undo nuts on my cars wheel they are only hand tight any ideas?

I got one too! Haven't tried it in earnest yet though.

Chriz1 - the impact gun has a torque setting, maybe you need to turn it up?

I tried running a Suction Gun with a 1.4 tip and it worked fine. Then when using an air sander pop. The oil filler cap went bang. Oh well. Back to the old machine.
